Cassandra’s Bio
Cassandra is a student at Columbia University, an actress, and an athlete. She had an international modeling career and co- partnered in a novelty company to build it from a startup to ‘the major leagues.’ Cassandra is also active philanthropically.
AT COLUMBIA: Cassandra has distinguished herself through scholastic efforts and was nominated to Dean’s List as a result of her achievements. After a modeling career that took her away from school, Cassandra is now determined to continue her academic education, studying an array of subjects: ranging from Shakespeare to Macro- Economics that she believes will further round out her wisdom and ability to pursue her life objectives. She is also the recipient of a Fellowship at Columbia University.
BUSINESS: Cassandra joined a startup New York based novelty Import Company. At that time, the company had 6 items it worked with. In her second year, she became a partner and Cassandra helped grow the company from 6 items to 6,000 items. Cassandra left her interest in 2003 to pursue her academic interests.
ACTING: Cassandra has studied method acting with some of the great teachers in New York City and has had appearances in many movies. Her current SAG film will be released in 2012. It is entitled, ‘The Representative.’ In the late summer of June 2011, she secured a role in the Guild Hall Labor Day Production in East Hampton, New York where she performed in “The Night of 75 Stars”, alongside Alec Baldwin and Bob Balaban. In addition, she has made recurring appearances on “Damages” and “The Real Housewives of New York”. Cassandra has also been cast in a lead role in an off- Broadway production in 2012 with a world- renowned all- women’s theatrical organization.
ATHLETICS: Cassandra is a competitive Equestrian in the Hunter- Jumper Divisions, as well as an avid golfer, court tennis player, volleyball player, and tennis enthusiast. She has also been a Sponsor of the Hampton Classic Horse Show for 20 years.
PHILANTHROPY: Cassandra has helped to organize numerous charitable events in the New York area. She feels deeply that it is her privilege to give back for the many gifts she has received in life, and is active with many organizations that she supports. Among them are: National Board Member of the Sphinx Organization, Board Member and Co- Chair of The Women’s Project, Chair (in her sixth year) of The Astaire Awards, Vice Chair of the Southampton Hospital, Co- Chair of the New York Dance Alliance Foundation, and Board Member of The Tank Organization. In addition, Cassandra supports the Humane Society, the American Cancer Society, the Hunger Project, Refugees International, NMA: the National Meningitis Association, the American Bard Theater Company, the ASPCA, and the Rescue For Horses Fund.
FAMILY: Cassandra lives in New York City, summers in Bridgehampton, Europe, and Tuxedo Park.
